This mount is designed for simplicity and functionality, and is perfect for holding random sizes and shapes of test parts for your optical testing needs. This mount is perfect for large aperture interferometers for plano surface testing. This mount can also be used to hold a return flat for transmissive optical testing.
A set of mounting holes allows many options for holding test parts using, for example, Thorlabs posts and components.
Adjustment for new part sizes is a snap, requiring a simple rotate, slide, and lock of the posts. Very large parts can be set directly on the lower “shelf” and the posts removed to accomodate. Alternatively, a crossbar may be placed across the lower posts for mounting smaller rectangles or oddly shaped parts
Tip/Tilt adjustment is manual by default, motorized by special order. Adjustments are at a distance from the work piece, so thermal influence is minimized.
